A common complaint heard in the development world is, "Yeah, but it's impossible to fully test the GUI with an automated testing tool used by developers." This presentation will debunk this myth and show techniques you can use to bring your GUI to 100% test-coverage. With just a little imagination (and if time permits we'll show you how), you can use similar techniques to achieve database independence in all tests that don't directly use the database. With such freedom you can remove another oft-heard complaint on development teams, "Because of the DB dependence the tests run so, so slow." These techniques, taken to their limits, will even allow testing of much of your data-access code without a database. Drop all your heavy development gear and run faster, lighter, and with more agility by using the techniques we use every day.
